CEATEC Survey: Significant increase in the number of Chinese car companies exporting to Europe in 2022

Author:ceatecDate:2022/03/22

In January this year, CEATEC launched the "2022 annual survey of Chinese auto companies exporting to Europe"

The survey shows that in 2022, Chinese car companies plan to export a significantly larger number of new energy vehicles to Europe and further expand the range of target countries. Car companies will continue their export structure of mainly passenger cars, supplemented by commercial vehicles, with passenger cars accounting for more than 90% of their total exports. The car companies will also layout investment in Europe, targeting countries such as Italy, Spain, Norway, Finland, Denmark and France, and gradually establish operation teams in the target countries to expand brand influence and increase market share through commercial operations. The car companies also raised the problems of capital, compliance and investment in the export process, and expressed their willingness to actively participate in the activities organized by CEATEC to jointly address a series of problems in the process of exporting to Europe.

In order to facilitate car companies to further adapt to local laws and regulations in Europe, integrate into local customs and culture, and successfully enter the European market, CEATEC will carry out a series of activities in 2022 to promote the globalization of China's new energy vehicle industry and promote the launch of self-owned brand cars in Europe.

Under the support and guidance of relevant departments and bureaus of the Ministry of Commerce, we will hold a series of activities such as "Briefing on European Countries" and is committed to building a domestic "new energy vehicle export base to Europe".

The development of new energy vehicles is an important path for China to move from a large automotive country to a strong automotive country, and the development of the European market is of great significance to the development of new energy vehicles in China. CEATEC will continue to promote the export of Chinese new energy vehicles and contribute to the sustainable and deeper economic and trade cooperation and exchanges between China and Europe.
